Breeders:
- To register a litter of piglets, please fill out a litter registration form and individual Juvenile Registrations will be mailed to you for each piglet.
Identification:
- All pigs must be permanently identified with a tattoo or microchip. Tattoos must be placed in Right Ear.
- Recommended Microchips: Avid, HomeAgain, Pro-ID, TempScan, TravelChip, or ISO.
Application and Pictures:
- Pigs with known lineage must have lineage/pedigree provided.
- Pedigree must contain names, microchip numbers, weights, colors, and heights of those in lineage if known.
- Pigs with unknown lineage can be registered as Foundation Level.
- Pictures must be submitted with every application.
- Both sides, rear and front, one side picture with a measuring stick near shoulders to verify size (for adult pigs, 3 years and older only)
Size:
- All pigs being registered must be 17 inches or less and less than 100 lbs.
- For a pig to be CERTIFIED, the measurements must be signed off by a vet. Notation will be made on Registration Certificate.
Double Registration:
MPR will accept pigs that are registered with other registries, but may require additional information. A copy of other registry Certificate is required when wanting to Double Register your pig.
